“After having an active job my whole life, six years ago I changed my career and found myself sedentary for much of the day. I was unhappy with how I felt and looked. I’ve got a prosthetic lower leg and my knee cap was frequently dislocating. I needed to start exercising again to feel better about myself, both physically and mentally. I love skiing and was used to going a few times a year but I had lost confidence in how my knee would cope. Rebuilding strength, particularly in my left leg to stop the dislocations & get back to the activities I love, was my main goal.

Since starting with Jo sixteen months ago, I have skied many times and my knee has not dislocated. I also no longer need to wear a knee brace for swimming. A first for me! I've lost a stone through changing my approach to nutrition, which has given me heaps more energy too. Jo has taken the time to really understand my individual needs and has changed my attitude towards exercise. I have built so much strength and really enjoy my weekly sessions. "In 2020 my health was starting to negatively impact my daily life and so I approached Jo about 1:1 coaching. My 1:1 sessions have been the best investment I’ve made in my health. Jo is not just about exercise, she is so knowledgeable about nutrition and has educated me on small daily changes I can make to see results and supports me to make healthy food choices. Her mantra is ‘progress not perfection!’

My whole family has noticed a difference in me in just 4 months; I’m fitter, I have more energy (so I can keep up with my 4-year-old), I sleep better and I’m a lot more comfortable in myself. And to top it off I have lost 2 stone and rediscovered parts of my wardrobe I’ve not seen in a long time!
